Interact Psychology offers our evidence based assessment and treatment services to students from schools in rural and remote areas through our Web ASIST program.
The Web ASIST program provides services that are:
Accessible: Counselling sessions are available to students online using a secure web-interface and can be scheduled during, before or after school.
Specialist: Our psychologists have extensive training and experience working with children, adolescents and families as well as developing and delivering evidence based treatment programs through online platforms.
Inexpensive: We are able to offer low cost online sessions to students due to Medicare rebates that became available in late 2017 that allow individuals in rural and remote areas to access up to 10 sessions with a psychologist online.
Systemic: We adopt a systemic approach to treatment, considering student well-being in the context of family, school and community functioning and collaborate with families and schools to achieve the best outcomes.
Tailored: Each student is assessed and treated on an individual basis with their individual needs and goals helping form the plan for their therapy and support
